To visit my friend's villa at Lake Yamanaka nearby Mt. Fuji, I brought my Orbea Aqua to
Shin-Matsuda Station by Odakyu Odawara Line train and started biking.
The ride to Suruga-Oyama on Route 246 was a pleasant and easy part, and then the climbing
from Suruga-Oyama to Mikuni Pass was a really steep and tough ride. The maximum number
of incline hit 16% and the lowest gear ratio of bike (F34 & R25) was not low enough to
maintain an appropriate rotation pitch. The exhaust sound of racing cars from Fuji Speedway
could not ease my mind and all that I could do was just to push the peddle on the bike.
However, it was worth climbing very much. There is a view spot on the descending to Lake
Yamanaka. When I visited there, the wide area of dead grass field of Mt.Fuji was burned for
new grass season and the scenery was somewhat spoiled with the smoke from the burning.
Still the great scenery from the view spot was good enough as a reward for the climbing and I
forgot to restart for a while.
Then, I was absorbed into the descending to Lake Yamanaka again. It didn't take that much
time in arriving to my friend's villa.
