Eight bicyclists gathered at the Imperial Palace park area in Tokyo with the proposal by Mr. K, who is an enthusiastic tourist.  The main purpose of gathering was apparently not for riding but for chattering about bicycles in idling time.  Including an ex-proshop bike expert
nicknamed as “Professor”, the participants had an extensive knowledge about bicycles and
the topics to talk covered a wide range of bicycling, from bicycle hardware to detour
information of attractive bicycling course.  People were nice and I enjoyed the talk.  Indeed,
there were a few discoveries in the talking, such as a usage of word “widow” as a metaphor
for a component of which the other one of pair was gone.

The scenery of Tokyo’s core was also nice.  It was the best season to appreciate the beauty
of autumn leaves and the car traffic was relatively light on Sunday afternoon.  We stopped so many times to take pictures to record the fine expression of each bike in the clear autumn air.  After the lunch at Hibiya Park, I left the group and biked on the route 17 for home.  My
impression of was just “pleasant “ in every aspect of the ride.
